Not familiar with that rope but if the cover braid is loose there is the chance it can milk and the core moves inside the cover, happens on loads of double braid. Stitching it would be fine. The problem comes when you stitch it or cut it with a hot knife and the cover and core aren't equalised...
Yeah, Don't remember splicing new rope it feels like so long since I've been asked. Feels like I'm only given things that have been climbed on in a swamp or pulled cars out of ditches. Keep meaning to buy a load of new rope from Courant just to have a play with it but keep wasting money on food...
First go splifing Drenaline. Quite like it. Cross between a double braid and a 16 strand splice. Think it came out OK. Did a Tachyon and a Marlow 16 strand to complete the trilogy. Only way it could have been worse was with a Fly or Kernmaster thrown in😄
