The dreaded stripped threads, Husky 572

Mr Altissimus FTW. I used the saw alot (well, little over a tank of fuel, on a big crane removal), the screw was still tight at end of day :drink: :dude: :dude:

The dreaded stripped threads, Husky 572

So the saw sat for a week, I was afraid to try it and see if the fix worked. :wall::|:. I have a big job tomorrow where it will be used so I decided to examine the repair. I took off the starter and the material I'd placed in the hole didn't appear to be in there, I wonder if the screw...

Long as this thread has (d)evolved into a minimalistic angle re how to get the most out of the least- I never wash my trucks but I keep them blown off after every job and when pollen or mildew etc accumulate I remove it all with Windex and a rag. It cuts like a knife thru all grime etc and...

    O.C.G.D. Thread, part two

The avant winch looks nice. How many different attachments do you have for it and is it difficult to store/carry them all to the job site?

    The Biking Thread

I dig appointments by bike- major-league killing of 2 birds with one stone. Traffic in suburbia kinda sucks and yes you could get squished by a poor driver of which there are many, but it's still worth it. Btw, it's almost funny, most bike riders (80%) you meet headed in opposite direction...

I love the idea and I bet folks here have plenty of input and ideas. Anywho here's a vid to get the ball rolling, a community of tiny houses. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/08/headway/homelessness-tiny-home-austin.html?unlocked_article_code=1.z00.LP1P.RNdncBf5XHBH&smid=url-share

I'm psyched to try it! If it nukes the ratcheting effect I will be forever grateful. The head mechanic for bucket trucks where I take mine for inspections etc says they all ratchet soon after they are put into use, as mine also did. Where do I get acetone?

You've mentioned that mix before. My main use of the WD is to lube the axle/bearing that holds the basket to upper boom on my terex bucket truck. The manufacturer should definitely have put a zerk there but they didn't so you have to use spray lube. The basket "ratchets" during self leveling...

I was just going to spray it out of the cans into the bottle, there's enough in the cans that they will still spray when held vertically

Doh, I'd forgotten this thread. But it is good stuff. I still work hard at jettisoning non important stuff and it gets easier with practice. But there is still that "dimes holding up dollars" urge as Kyle mentioned. Like keeping 5 mostly empty cans of WD-40; they are aren't full enough to...
