As far as I know, all echo saws were pro grade, but now they are trying to emphasize pro grade with a different look, and calling them X series.

There could be problems with an aluminum muffler loosening over time. I'd have made the muffler bigger.

I looked it up too, but with the high variability of the freezing point of gas, it probably wouldn't work well. Maybe something more pure like a little cube of methanol would work. I don't know if frozen alkylate would be better.
