I still have a 355t I need to do a whole parts swap on to replace the tanks/engine cover. Someone got it stuck, and tugged so hard the ripped the whole handle off the engine.

359 was the first expensive saw I ever ran after a poulan without anti-vibe. It was impressively smooth. smooth and kind of slow on the spool up/down too was my impression. It felt expensive. What happened to the intake boot? I'm just curious what failures happen and why.

I think that little bit smarter is called humility, and according to the degree of humility is the degree of understanding just how stupid one's self is.

I'd add a helper cylinder up front, since the leverage on that looks bad, and it sucks when something won't dump. Trailers do it all the time, I've never had a truck not dump.

Just be aware that parking in gear could still let the truck creep even if too slow to notice until hours later it's moved 10ft.

I got a cold seized 500i. One of these days I'll post a pic of what happens when you work a saw hard without letting it warm up. Go ahead and touch the cylinder fins with or without gloves. Once it's hot enough to burn you (~135F+ without gloves) ought to be good enough. Along with 40:1 of a...

Over here people are swapping out their purpose built trucks (flat beds, tow trucks, car carriers, semis) for common heavy duty pickup trucks. I'm sure they get frequent rebuilds. I don't doubt the power, I doubt the durability.

That's an interesting idea about having a hitch up front, I wonder how well it would work.

A backup camera is handy too, but they can be laggy. As slow as possible is the way to go on the long skinny driveways. Many people get impatient and go 2-3 times as fast as they should, then constantly changing directions to correct. Accept the fact it may take a few minutes, and just creep so...

That works, or "feelers" to stick up and out similarly, so you can precisely gauge when the chipper reaches the point of no correction, and the point of jackknife. The point of jackknife of course varies truck to truck, and depending on if the chute hits on one side before the other, if at all.
