It's Martin Scorsese, great movies. I enjoyed other scenes far more but it's a good movie.

    Logging Choker cables

Wire rope is one of the handiest tools humans ever invented. Remember the logging chokers aren't rated for overhead lifting so be careful what you use them for, but yes they're super handy. They make ones with a sliding hook instead of the choker bell and and eye on the ends for overhead...

    MSA 161

That's definitely true, but i think that's because they're designed for a homeowner and not for a pro; since no one wants to drag a cord around with them they basically design them to suck. Most lifts anymore have a built in extension cord in the boom, and i bet they could easily design a...

    Knot thread

@cory to me that seems like it would lock down very hard since it's basically a noose or a fisherman's, and a simple clove hitch would be just as good for a 3 to one like that, as would a triple bowline, alpine butterfly, catspaw, or a ton of other knots.

    How'd it go today?

1/2 to 3, process pipe application. I work in a lot of different places that have patents, proprietary processes, or classified info so unfortunately i can't really share more, also why i pretty much never have work pics or even talk about my work day. Sucks but when you're on the industrial...

    In The News...

Yeah i know I'm spoiled  The Midwest and Illinois especially really understand infrastructure, the roads get torn up from the snow and temperature swings so that's a constant replacement cycle and emergency patch thing but our grid and gas infrastructure is second to none. We've also got a...

    How'd it go today?

My neck has been kinda stiff lately too, likely from work and uncomfortable sleeping. Been doing pvc the last few days, man i hate that stuff, especially with as many fittings as we gotta use and how nice they want it to look  Nothing like huffing glue and solvent all day, I'll take weld...

    Like/Dislike Button

You can type those in too, in fact there's a whole pull down menu of them and that doesn't even count the ones on your device. I don't think there's anyone here that doesn't remember a landline phone, so emogis aren't really our thing. It was a huge adjustment for many to include the like button...

    In The News...

There's been a push for smaller peaker plants for the last few decades, they're added as the power company sees fit. At least around here grid stability is excellent, in fact I'm not sure I've ever even seen a brown out.

I understand that fully, but there's discipline before a bullet, part of training dogs or even kids for that matter. It takes work, work that she clearly didn't do because the situation surprised her, because if she had been working with it like she should have she would have known that she...

    Stahl's logging supplies

Wouldn't a cbn have a tendency to clog and glaze since chain is usually dirty? I could see if you were running carbide chain since that's so hard, but for normal chain i would think a more traditional abrasive would be better, the wheel being used leads to dust, which constantly exposes new...
