    I'm not cory, but I'd say "too much" is when it looks the same or thicker after 2 years. Unless the people are loaded(that is not a "loaded" subdivision), and willing to have someone come out every couple years to maintain it, I think trimming could be counterproductive. You get the same thing...

    On a practical note, I don't think it should be Akimbo blue. It should stand apart from the older version. Sherrill yellow is a meh color imo. I like purple, but red would be a nice color too.

    I wonder if he's expected to keep the pool clean. Covering the pool would be 95% of the work. edit: Thinking about it... Perhaps an inverted parasol beneath the cuts would be sufficient? Kind of like those silly haircatchers they sold for haircuts a long time ago.
