What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

I’ll keep my subarctic weather nine months out of the year. They can have their dry heat.

    How'd it go today?

Dark alley, no witnesses, and a plausible alibi, preferably from somebody of good standing like a priest or politician that you happen to be friends with.

    Bare Minimum Knot Knowledge?

Stay sober and it can be done. I think even after a 12 rack it’s still doable.

    The Official Work Pictures Thread

Not a tree that was worked but it was under the tree that was worked. This is the tree in my avatar twelve years later. It’s just rot and a thin strip of live bark. Willows don’t go quietly into the night, they fight until the bitter end.

I have a CMC 72 Hd but if I had to do it all over again it would be a Platform Lift. I’m not saying the 72 hasn’t been a good unit for me ,1200 hours and ticking.

A Quick Question - Is a 6,600# Crane Scale Worth Owning?

A Quick Question - Is a 6,600# Crane Scale Worth Owning?

I have a 2500 lb grain scale. Absolutely no use for it other than to talk about and collect dust in the loft. One day it may hang on a wall but I have my doubts. If I had a good place to hang it and play with it might be a different story.

    How'd it go today?

I have used a product called Sonolastic NP1. The name has changed but a google search will get you the right stuff. It’s a polyester caulk that is amazing. Stays flexible regardless of temp unless it really cold like dry ice cold. Sticks to everything.

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

If you want more rain you can have ours. Seems to rain every other night and every two weeks a nasty thunderstorm with high winds.
