    How'd it go today?

I didn't get involved with family bonding time, but I did yell some about the trash tree species boss and son are working with. No bloody way imma get in the way of father-son bonding work. Was nice to watch for once though...

I got the new glow plug controller installed in my Kubota this morning. Starts up pretty quick now.:) Started sawing some rafters for a project. It's muddy. :X

Shipping has gone nuts, in addition to, or because of the fuel situation. $28 to ship two hoses and a handful of fittings. Still cheaper than getting the hoses locally, but that's pretty steep.

Day off, might as well kill one. Levi and I had it down and cleaned up a tad longer than 2 hours. Little limb directing, speed lining and lowering. Chunk firewood till she'd fit. Deal with thebrush after I clear a mini path to the back gate. 'Nother wholetree to do anyway. Bring in the mini and...

Failed installing ring and ring saver

I've got a dan house saver too, hasn't been touched in a year. Like @SeanKroll says, SRT don't really chew up rope. Also, the local oak species are very rope friendly.

2 root pulled red alders. One self-supporting at 60⁰ish, one laid up in the neighbor's hollow as a drum red alder that will be going away.

Sleeves are great. Rope / cambium protection needs are minimal for SRT SRS. Hurray! Leather sleeves will polish with use.

Perhaps, there’s plenty think like you, which is fair enough. Tbh I was more interested in your news source that stated ‘England is trying to do away with trial by jury’

for climbing i would never do it. i do have a rigging cambium saver that i use a couple of times a year and never have a problem getting the rope to pass through but i do use it with s splice. it is fiddly but also satisfying :)

    How'd it go today?

Indeed! I hadn't intended to walk that road today, but as soon as I left the drive way, something told me it would be good to walk up the hill and enjoy the view. As usual, listening to those weird whispers was a good idea.

Failed installing ring and ring saver

If it's not strictly necessary, don't worry about installing one. I keep a retrievable on my harness most of the time so I can reposition my TIP when I need to, but it's pretty rare that I try to drag extra crap up the throwline. All the time it takes to fiddle about with all the extra bullshit...
