Well, there is the lovely yellow-orange foliage in the fall...maybe I'm showing my pro conifer bias, but I think larches are very handsome trees.

Do trees in your area get a lot of ice damage if not pruned? What is the strategy for maintaining trees in urban areas? What happens to the material? Is it used for mulch or energy production?

Maybe just winter, larch drop needles seasonally. Strange tree to plant there. Very little aesthetical value in my opinion.

The top of the one on the right doesn't look very happy though.

Three years ago, I did some formative pruning on these larches. I think it turned out pretty well!)

Been here since 2015. My first Halloween I bought a couple decorations including a pumpkin with a motion sensor along with a couple bags of candy. Didn't have a single trick-or-treater. Haven't bothered with it since.

All our kids are in town proper trunk or treating the court house and the little town streets. Later, the Tortured Orchard will draw the older kids and adults
