I'd stick with a class 1 rope construction, poly/nylon. As long as its strong enough, it's fairly well up to you, it would seem.

i use platinum protect from teufelberger. cover and core are interwoven. but any burly polyester 16 strand will do the job. and when in doubt, for 2€ you get a new one.

    How'd it go today?

Obenauf's is good stuff. Used to use it on my Wolverine work boots. The leather lasted great, but the soles fall apart, so I quit bothering. I still buy them as they are light, comfortable, and I can get them on sale for just over 100 bucks I remember when I was about 7 my dad had a black...

    How'd it go today?

I used bar oil on mine, saturated the crap out of it. It seemed to work better than mink oil.

Anyone have any advice on oiling Felco sheaths? I have a couple of old ones for F2, and a new F20 sheath that need some sort of preservative. Thanks.

Three six foot and one eight foot poles all stuck together with a large corona pruner head on it @cory Today went better so far. Finished with he last sycamore this morning and just got down from removing a few leads over a house on a Norway maple. Watching the ground crew do their thing now...

    Pruning small oak off eaves?

Meanwhile, human's insurance company may want the house side done shaved to see clear blue sky 5 feet from the house. CDF and local fire will require 10 off the roof, 15 foot off chimney if there is one. Some home insurace wants bare dirt 15 feet off the house and the tree would require a basal...

It's just better to live the callus alone. It does its think perfectly as it seems, so don't mess with it.

How busy are you this year compared to other years?

As it goes, picked up a bit work wise. Ordered the second hand Bandit grinder, so got to sell the Rayco. Had a good run of well paid work lately, good weather as well so that helps. No complaints here (won’t be long though)
