    Stihl 500i

Is it available in the USA? My local dealer said you have to have a friend ship it from overseas but that there’s no support for parts here when you DO need something. Please tell me he’s not right!!!

Key components of a lock stitch or whiplock?

Hey guys. I?m sure I wasn?t the first splicer in the world to invent hiding stitches...I just gave it a silly name! Nearly Invisible Cover Core Stitch Method (NICCS Method) The way I do it is traveling down the rope in a haphazard random pattern. Honestly I think 6-8 stitches is sufficient...

    Nextdoor.com

We get a lot of business from it. But unless I?m using it wrong, it?s almost not worth checking out because -except in your own neighborhood- you can?t see what the people are saying about your company. For example - you guys can?t go and see what everyone is saying about TreeCareLA. ... i...

Who Underbid Me? .... and by How Much? .... Do I have the Job?

Bonding is the dumbest thing in our industry. There should be a law exempting tree services from it. We almost never get paid until the job is done. Luckily it's insanely cheap to be bonded, so no big whoop

Who Underbid Me? .... and by How Much? .... Do I have the Job?

I love when I get asked because in CA you're required to be bonded, but a lot of guys AREN'T, so I get to be the goody two shoes that IS. But I do the same where I ask them what it means. It's funny to see people scratching to justify why they asked something they don't even understand. love nick

Stihl "2 in 1" File Guide for Chain Sharpening?

Skwerl is back?!?!?! I'm gonna put these files on our truck. We have employees and some are new at sharpening. Filing is an art and science. It requires diligence to master. Some employees aren't interested in that level of finesse. The guides might be a way for the crew to have a consistent...

Tree Climber for hire in California

I think the "back in the day" prices are the same as what employers are paying these days....but much of it is going to the government and insurance companies and less to the employee. The customer is still paying about the same price for a days worth of work, which means the boss still has...

The "certified letter to the neighbor" concept.

What's the question exactly? Typically it's not the arborists job to look at or barely even consider the insurance policy. You tell them the tree looks sketchy, advise them to look st their policy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
