@CurSedVoyce yes I googled it when I saw the BBL snowstorm and your work pic of snowy roads on your way to appts, I wanted to see how far you were from BBL given that you were both apparently getting the same storm system. Further apart than I would have guessed

Since removal likely isn't an option, probably have to go triangular, possibly lower than usual given the damaged area

Dang, this morning at 4:45am local eagle time, it looks like it's been a long night- temp has dropped, wind still raging, lotta snow accumulated on the nest. Being an eagle aint all strawberries and rainbows.

The nest is built 145ft up in a Jeffrey Pine tree ~7100ft ASL, one of the highest elevation Bald Eagle nests in the US! It is measured ~5 1/2’ wide and 6’ deep. Crazy wind and snow atm

she's keeping 3 babies warm in the snowstorm and pops just brought fish for dinner

even if you've seen it before, the eagle nest cam rocks!

those live nest cams are amazing, seeing the creature living in it's arguably harsh natural environment

On the 'news' it said much of it was caused by people doing outside burning despite the forests being extremely dry
