Warm, mostly dry winter in the PNW. Lower elevation ski areas closed or barely open. While the rest of the country is being hammered with storm after storm. The latest big storm is supposed to affect 40 states, missing us again. It started in So Cal, with a 20 minute hailstorm hitting Orange County. Here's the story, with images of the snow right on Huntington Beach
Thunderstorms & rain last night. Nice and cool this morning and most the day but bright and sunny. Was nice for a change. It was getting old wearing short sleeves in March.
Climbed all day today in scattered drizzle, high 40's and still a foot of snow on the ground here and N.H. but that's great compared to some of the sub-zero climbing that I did all winter. Some days, I felt like I was climbing the face of a snow covered mountain.
Me too, nice and warm last week now I'm freezing. I've got that many clothes on I look like the Michelin man.
It's blowing a gale and pouring. Yesterday was the most rain in one day since '98, but we had more today. I'd light the fire but I'd have go outside and get some wood, screw that.
