What Did Ya'll Have For Dinner Tonight?

I finally trained my Yankee wife to make some killer chicken and dumplings. My grandmother's recipe. Now my mother is mad 'cause my wife's C&D are better than her's. Go figure;);)
 
steak sammich. new york strip, medium, sliced over rosemary chiabata toast slathered on one side with dijon mustard and on the other a garlic butter spread, touched with chunks of stilton cheese, yellow pepper and scallions. I REALLY liked it, I will be making this again. :)

oh, and a beer, brooklyn brewery, black chocolate stout.

I was going to say that stout looked like a meal in itself. Sorry it doesn't hold up to it's appearance.
 
Pizza and beer. So much for famous micro brews-I won't buy Fat Tire again.

Tortellini alfredo! notice the size of the servingware makes such a juxtaposition for contrast with the serving size. One pic is with a meat fork and potato serving spoon, the other with regular cutlery... :/:

It is true though. I have started using desert plates as my dinner plates to help keep my portion size down.

I inherited my grandmother's dinnerware. You should see the difference in the size of the plates.
 
we've been eating these, fried, baked and grilled.
