Tree felling vids

I've seen a lot of those but this one had me puzzled.:?

Guess I should have read the story. The extent some people will go to to save spending a dollar amazes me, and nearly always ends up costing more than they would have paid to get it done properly.:violent1:

Just to save everyone the time.

"Well on the end of a ladder. The tree fell during Fay August 2008. You cannot safely cut the base, it'll kick out.

So we attach an electric chain saw to the end of a ladder, duct tape the switch. The base of the ladder is attached to a platform, on it a garbage can full of water.

Didn't go as planned the saw is toast, but it's alot cheaper than a tree surgeon or an ER visit."

Just look and listen to this genius.

We had a wind storm today and I got called to look at a tree on a house. As I was bidding that two guys came over to see if I could help them with a tree on their roof. They had the ladder set up and a sawsall ready to go. I applaud their willingness to reconsider their do-it-yourself approach.

I sorta recall seeing part one, I think, but don't know if it was here. I had not seen part 2 until today.

This is so painful...:D.
