bingo! weird I could remember the cost but not what it was.:|:

I added the bladder tank when I re-ran the well 2 years ago. The tubing runs into the top of the pump housing.

this could explain why I get a bit of air in the lines form time to time I'm guessing?

So I should be able to remove the control and just block off the openings?

I think I am starting to understand. This tank has to let air in and out so that the water can flow. Sorta like shotgunning a beer?

Water is not compressible so the volume of air does the compressing and pushes the water out once a tap is opened. Also reduces the need for the pump to turn on everytime a tap is opened for a short time.

Yup! Lets some air in and yup, block'em off! (don't forget the t-tape or pipe dope!)
