This is one of the first pieces of AP I tried. It's a few years old. I retired it when the cover started to get too stiff. Used in rigging for a little bit. I wanted to see what the core looked like. My last few trips on it I really tried to burn it up. . .

There was the slightest evidence of abrasion to the core near the highest wear areas, and this only on what I take to be the Kevlar fibers.

Continuing research. This one was also retired to rigging duty a few months ago. We were using it to adjust the length of a pull rope hooked to the work truck. Finally just dead ended it against a stump and a scrap section of 5/8 choker line. We gave it a few good pulls, to the point where it fuzed to the host rope and had to be pulled apart.

As before, the core is basically undamaged, and the stitched terminations held strong. Unlikely I could replicate that amount of force in a climbing scenario. Good stuff.
