I do know my old [now Bermies ] Ms200 didn't need a muffler mod, only had to remove the screen with attached restrictor plate. But my Husqvarna 338XPT needed a much larger 9/16" muffler outlet added to it's tiny exhaust outlet. Then I had alot better WOT performance.

I've talked to some arborists at a training course last week and they claim their happy with their 201s'. Better torque, less fuel fillups and run smoother consistently. Give them a good muffler mod and they have that familiar "banshee WOT".

I think your right Burnham , the lime does mellow the skunky taste. But the combination sure does taste good, especially with a little salt on the rim.

My buddy has that setup. While sitting on the beach in Mexico last winter with him, he pulls out his cell phone and checks out his house and yard back in Manitoba. Stark contrast when he showed me , 30 below with 2 feet of snow and 95 in the sun where we were sitting tipping back our Coronas.:)

Husqvarna has had the pro market wrapped up in the big logging operations here in Canada since 1974-76 when they introduced the 2100 and 162. Stihl or anyone else for all that goes at the time didn't have a saw that could match these 2 Husky models for ergonomics and power to weight ratio. But I...

Adrian, I hate to have to say this, but that saw operator is one of the worst I have ever seen. He sure doesn't do justice for those saws.

I have the 200T and 33XPT in my fleet. The 338 I muffler modded and I honestly can't tell any difference in power at work. Maybe I got a lucky and found a good 338. I'll have to take both saws and make 3 timed cuts through a 10"X10" spruce ,both using the same b/c. If I can get my YouTube...

The 576XP AT sat outside last night, -11C [13F] this morning. I used the decompressor this time, the 576 has no primer. It started on 3 pulls.

Magnus, I'll tell you my little secret......I didn't use the decompressor. Tomorrow I'll try it again, it won't be 25 days but I'll press the decompress button this time.

Magnus, I just went out side and started up one of the Husqvarna 576XP AutoTunes. It is -23C outside, the saw was sitting in a metal garden shed and has not been run for 25 days. It started on 4 pulls:)

The Husky 576 AutoTunes I have start good but like Stig says the stratos do take longer to warm up and perform. But from blipping the throttle at the very cold start there is no bog like the non AutoTune does. I imagine the new 441 C would be the same. Yes these saws sure do "pull"

Paul the MS200 part# for the .325 spur sprocket drum and oil pump drive ring is 1129 640 2052. I paid approx $30-40 CDN for it from Stihl Canada. I'm not sure this kit is available in the U.S. but see your dealer anyway. It's an option for the MS200 rear handle saw. I have tried the wider...

I quess I'm still old school, but I like to ease my saws slowly for the first few tanks. Only exception is 3 new Husqvarna 576XP AutoTunes I received from my sponsor a few years ago for use in a chainsaw competition I put on one day a year. The factory tech letter says to run the saws in the...

So true, Jay. Reminds me of a movie starring Anthony Hopkins called "The Worlds Fastest Indian". A true story of New Zealander Bert Munro who had a bed in his shed and for years modified a 1920 Indian motorcycle. Even forged his own pistons by hand. Being set in the 1960s he takes a boat trip...
