    Time for a bigger saw

I love our 562XP, I will say though you may want to shoot for the 72 with a 24" bar and have yourself a good all around big stick.

    My First All Me Tree

Thanks for all your kind responses. I am going to continue being safe and try to be more productive each day. My father always told me, "first be correct in your work and speed will come. Then you will be fast and correct."

    We Have Gone Orange!

Well we have ran the Stihl saws for a while, I have ran them all my life. But times are changin at our camp. We got a new 562XP and now 2 540XP saws and man o man they RIP! We still have the 660 and a couple 261's and 3 200 T's but the Husqy's clearly are the better saws. Now before you flog me...

    My First All Me Tree

I know right, it's hard to keep up with the times LOL. I think I am going to try and by myself one anyways, if I can swing it next week. I think the owner is buying the huge husqy helmets and I think I would rather have something snug like a Petzl or Kasq

    My First All Me Tree

I only used the 200T on the stems larger than my fist, we got some Silky's and they are ridiculous. I hardly ever had to even crank the 200T. Best hand saw I have ever used. We have the Zubats and they rock.

    My First All Me Tree

I have been using the alt method with 2 lanyards on evergreens and real stemy stuff too. I like just flipping 1 lanyard above the other then taking the bottom lanyard off.

Oh yeah, the lanyard and my rope is just above my head in a crotch on the back side.

    My First All Me Tree

Hey guys, my mentor turned my lose today in a smaller River Birch and said "Get it done". It wasn't anything crazy, had to rope a few stems off and drop the top. Also had to rig up on both trunks to pull them over in a smallish drop zone. Everything went good, no damage and it was done in a...

Opinions on Kubota L2800 Tractor purchase?

You absolutely can NEVER go wrong with a Kubota. We ran 2 on the beef farm way back and when we had to sometimes fix the Fords (still love my Ford tractors the most) the Kubs stayed right on the field working. Great customer service and very dependable tractors imo.

Tree Stuff Duffle Bags Free Patch

Just talked to Luke over at Tree Stuff. I noticed the other day they had some nice bags at a real good price that are their brand but they didn't have the Tree Stuff logo on them. Luke said if we get one of their bags just to ad FREE PATCH PER LUKE in the comments box when you buy the bag. Just...

Got Some Steel DMM Biners Today

I am a heavier climber, it will last longer and it's really nice to have that weight. You can flip the end way up in the branches and it seems much easier to get it to come back down to you from the crotch once you toss it in there.

Gold Clubs Trade for Tree gear

But if you have that top handle and 395 ready to ship, these clubs may be Platinum!

Gold Clubs Trade for Tree gear

Well the top handle was kinda joke bump LOL. I guess the clubs are worth around $250 so the rope wasn't a good one to joke on. I should have added the 395xp though.

Gold Clubs Trade for Tree gear

I also might trade for a top handle saw or maybe a really good condition 1/2 climbing rope.
