    Climbing - Grapple

I use a hook that BIGTWIG made for me, it is a simple J style. The advantage of the j style is that you can twist the rope to make it spin to either catch or release a limb.

    SMC spider descender

I am not sure, but the Petzl RIG is only rated for 14 kn and is used extensively for both purposes.

    SMC spider descender

Anyone use this? I like that it accepts larger diameter of rope. Seems like it would work great for climbing or lower able base anchor.

I use one of these and clip into(for tending) the gap of the turnbuckle when the eyes are unscrewed. Just make sure to get the right length for your climbing setup. http://m.grainger.com/mobile/product/GRAINGER-APPROVED-Turnbuckle-6ZFP3

    Employees Climbing Gear

I am with kevin on this. I love buying my own gear and using it on the job, and then taking it home and tweaking it. I appreciate when a company throws some money my way for gear, but it is not necessary.

I forgot about that video, thanks for putting that up Stevo!

    SRT TIP cinch with hardware

I tend to retrieve with the tail of my line. I tie to the hanging leg of the alpine resulting in a closed loop that "follows" you through redirects.

    SRT TIP cinch with hardware

I mean climbing side of the line for the alpine.

If a guy learns to tie an alpine around the standing end of the line you can get rid of the pinto and carabiner.
