Sterling Cut Resistant Lanyard

Anyone used the new lanyards by Sterling? Saw this mentioned over at the buzz, seems like it would be a good middle ground between the wire-core and a 10mm op lanyard:

Tophopper you do know what they actually mean is "cut resistant but completely unfit for life support inner jacket" You should send them a link to the Buzz...

Jay, 11mm works out OK for me, 10mm is too thin for sure.

"Cut resistant"

Please define exactly what that entails.

The chainsaw protective boots that most folks around here wear ( I don't) are "cut resistant"

About 12 years ago a state forest logger was trimming the end of a log and the saw kicked back and hit his foot. It managed to cut clear through his foot, scredding muscle, tendons and some bone.

The company that manufactured his boots told him that "cut resistant" is not the same as " full protection"

I'll stick to steel core.
