Well hey there, Old Dude - welcome to the TreeHouse! I checked your profile, but it's blank. I guess you're into trees?

I have the sherrill version with bendable finger at the end. I won it at a charity auction thing.

It's alright. If there is any tension on the line what so ever the finger won't bring it. It'll just straighten out.

I don't keep it on the harness so it usually is faster to climb over and get the rope or wait for a groundie to swing it over. It is handy when I just can't REACH it.

I ground the edge out of the hook on my handsaw, so I can use it to snag rope with.
Never used the sharp hook in the first place.

We bought one of those sidekicks for our first Sequoia climb, thinking it would be handy in those big trees.
A New Tribe grapnel turned out to work WAY better.

I tried a sidekick for 2 days first day the hook pulled out so I drilled a hole in the end and put a screw in it , second day the snap that secures it to the harness pulled out. POS IMO

Why do I find it lame when people try to pimp there product while trying to hide behind a regular joe persona?

An electrician came barreling ass into my brothers new houses driveway. Jumps out of his lame van..."Need an Electrician, I'm your guy!?". If he did he'd surely be able to find one on his own. Get lost you loser!
