At night the saws that are out working are taken out of the trucks and cleaned and stored in the garage till the next day. Right now they are just bunched together on the floor.

What solutions have you come up with for keeping saws out of the way?

I had a log that I bore cut into that stored some of them, but my collection grew and the log no longer fits them all.

These saws have bars and chains on full time.

When a friend of mine moved into his shop, we took down a bunch of trees. One was a multi-lead black cherry. We cut the first ten feet off and stood it up in the shop. We bored each saw into it, and had all of his rigging hanging from it. It was cool, but it took up too much room, so we notched it and felled it into the other bay.:/: Mostly I see those red plastic coated hooks hanging in a row on the wall, and the saws hanging from the rear handle.

I have a shelf above my garage door that holds about 10, the rest go on top another shelf. When the door is up you don't even know they are there. I keep a small ladder there to get them down. Kinda keeps them out of sight unless you look up.

do you really get them 'that' dirty you have to clean them everyday? I can see on fridays for sure...

Id clean em and put them back unless the trucks dont lock. then Id do the sawed log except id cut down at an angle to have any oil run into the log and not drip on the floor.

Sometimes all the saws are not in locking boxes. Most of the time we toss them on the open bed truck and offload them with the mini at the end off the day.

I like the idea over the garage door, Good storage for the weekend and for saws that don't get used as often.

They hang pretty good with bike hooks. You can do two staggered rows and then put a drip tray underneath.
