My crane job

Limbing those trees on spikes is a nasty, messy affair. Having the crane much make it so much nicer. Good work.

I don't think they will travel at highway speeds.

Nope but their yard is in town,
and they drive em to our jobs in the Presidio.

We'll be using them monday to tip tie 120'ish whole cypress trees.
One cut.

We're harvesting more poles for another two Spires.

I know we all love spires.

Nice job Bermey on the Norfolk.
Once you lose those stubs
you're gonna be loving the mobility on the spar.

Looks sappy as hades.

Thanks...the whole stub thing...the limbs were really long and are heavy and incredibly brittle. They snap at almost the first brush of the saw, there is no fibre hold at all!
When I cut them the first time, I cut them out a ways from the trunk, first so they wouldn't fall on me and second so any potential follow through with the saw was well away from my legs. (even though I had on chainsaw trousers!)
I just didn't go back to cut the stubs off, kept moving around and up...

Next time fellas....!
