Guys, and gals,
I'm looking for those big green barrels that so many of us have cleaned up many raking piles with. Lots of guys have been able to get em at Home Depot in the past but I have had no luck with that route here in my neck of the woods. My local agway can order me one if I can figure out who makes those barrels.....any help? Anywhere i can order one online?

Sherrill....AM Leonard...shipping sucks.

Headed to CT? Our HD usually have them.

I've also just located those blue or clear barrells that bulk liquids come in, just cutt the top and add rope.

The blue barrels can be bought from:
United Barrel

Leave a message; they'll call back.

I'm sure you'll ask how I have a computer photo but no info.....long story

I use Rough Neck gray trash barrels, back when I used them, now it's a trash can for the shop.

My green barrel got lost on the second or third job using it, back in the day.

I use Rubbermaid Brute trash cans. They last me about 5 years. You can get them in white, gray, red, yellow. Never saw them in green or blue.

What is so special about those green barrels?

I been starting to buy the industrial brute cans here from restaurant suppliers like I used in the kitchens. But for clean up.. the regular on sale cans (plastic) work just fine ;) I prefer grey, it's the way ;)

Beats me, but teh blue barrels I get aren't trash cans; they're meant for industrial waste. They're thick as hell, and are almost bulletproof. You can't stick a pitchfork thru 'em.

thats what I did....they were food grade apple juice barrells....five bucks each

A plastic barrel is pretty tough .Just saber saw the top off and cut in some hand holds .It will last almost forever unless you drive over it with a truck or something .

I like the green ones cause they are wide and bulletproof. They'll last many moons. Plus I just kinda like em, ya know?

I use 65 gal tree pots. we have a local nursery that sells trees in pots vs. bb. I usually carry one of those around. they may not last as long, but I have a stack of them from a planting job. also, you can stack several of them and they may not get as heavy as a trash can.

most times for rakings and stuff, I use a 6x8 poly tarp. stores smaller and is easier to work with. I prefer it over the cans unless its stump grindings.
