Looking to see what those that have tried this saddle have to say about them. Looking for reviews for both Austria duo 2 and 3. Hope someone can help me out.

I'm on my second TA Duo. I'm very happy with the saddle for my needs. In 2004 I got to try on (and hang from) over a dozen saddles at the TCIA Expo in Baltimore and the TA Duo was by far the most comfortable for me. Prior to the Duo I had climbed in $79 buttstrap saddles for 15 years and a Buckingham saddle for a couple years. This was my first 'advanced' saddle.

They aren't as durable as the Weavers or Buckinghams and it's not quite as supportive if you're carrying a big saw on removals, but they are great for trimming flexibility or just hanging out for several hours. My first one wore out in a little over a year, but I suspect my current saddle will last me many more years due to the fact that I'm a bucket baby now. My only minor complaint with it is the lack of legstrap buckles. I have to step into the saddle like a pair of pants.

Thanks, did you have the austria duo 1 or 2? what color was it basically? Blue was the 2nd. The expo's back to Baltimore maybe i should just wait and try them all on there. But thats a long wait.

The duo is 2. I also bought the bosun seat but only used it for about 3-4 days. It's buried in a box of excess gear out in the shop somewhere.

Gotcha! sounds good. I think i'm sold on it. But i want to try it on first.

brian, the duo you got from me was version 1.
version 2 had very little market in the US. they made them but they never made it in production (at least what I could get a hold of). the newest version I too would like to see. I have ver 1 and like it best of all the saddles ive ever used.

Does anyone of pictures of this saddle while being used.

This is the mfgr's website: http://drayer.de/. We just starting carrying the Tree Austria 3 at Wesspur. Wileyp will probably chime in here if he notices this. I know he has spent some time in one.
