A guy just called me from the "Texas Baptist Men". Wants somebody to demo. a Wraptor to them. He says they do a lot of disaster relief work and after big storms he thinks their organization could use Wraptors to do tree work:|: I told him point blank that this seems like a "REALLY" bad idea. Lets put total novices in really dangerous trees:O

Any Ideas????

treetx/Nate is still in Austin, I believe.

But I agree, a really bad idea, unless they already have been competently doing tree work and only want the Wraptor to ease the labor.

They were in my neighborhood after a big ice storm a couple of years ago. I didn't watch them do any work but saw the results. The work didn't look bad. They specialize in working for people that can't afford to pay. A good group of men doing a good work.

Regardless of their skills, I think it's cool that you GAS and aren't just selling a product.

When you are makin' a billion bucks on the Wraptor and your yet-to-be introduced inventions, keep it real.;)

Paul the horses are already out of the barn. The Wraptor is for sale to the public. People of varying, and possibly dubious skillsets sets already have purchased one and even maybe tested one.

Dave, I wouldnt refer to your skillset so;)

Ive always just hoped that the people spending the amount that a Wraptor costs would at least be proficient by virtue of being able to afford one:|: Does that make any sense??

The fellow I spoke with seemed really nice and genuine but admitted that he was VERY overweight so couldnt really get into a tree but felt if he could get up there he could do the job. My instant thought was if you cannt hence havent been getting into trees then after a big storm is exactly the wrong time to be trying to do it..

Oh well like you say anybody can buy them, hopefully baptists dont sue....

youre right maybe some training and a good demo would be smart

anyone sues, even baptists, jehovas witness, non denom christians

maybe buhda -ists wont
but regardless cya
