WOW! Can you imagine looking at your pictures after the fact and seeing what you'd captured. Must have been quite the rush.

Thanks, Roger.

Those photos remind a bit of the space shuttle challenger, where the pilot had about enough time to say, "Uh oh".

Or, OH SHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT.

Wow....The photographer is great and has the best gear. The lens that he shot this sequence with retails for $9000!!

Wonder what the payout was for the multiple magazine uses of the shots? I betcha he made enough to pay off the loan for the lens. :)

Awesome pictures, its incredible to get so many sequential captures, perfectly focused in the heat of the moment and still have the time to frame them well.

It amazes me what some people need to do to get their kicks or whatever the motivation is. I'm quite happy with a ho-ho or a dish of ice cream from the comfort of my couch traveling at a breathtaking 0mph. Amazing photos though.

Those guys are farkin' nuts... I couldn't imagine sittin' in an 8000 HP top fuel dragster makin' a run down the 1/4 mile on land...

On water in an 8000 HP top fuel drag boat is a whole new ballgame... :)

Awesome series of photos Dodger...

Gary

Haha. I would think an 8000hp chipper would either throw sawdust or 2 x 4's. More power!!! Arrr, arrr, arrr!:D

8000hp and a 700 gallon fuel tank! But its only rated for 15 in material. Gives chuck n duck a new meaning.

On a positive side you will not have to deal with auto feed anymore:D

Well honestly id like a 18 inch chipper with a about 500 hp.
That would pretty much do it.
And geesze a re mulcher to turn all that chip into a saleable product.
Now thats what im shootin for.

Holy shat!! Those things are stupid fast!!!

Thanks for throwing down the pics.... carnage rocks!

I went to the Augusta Southern Nationals in 1992. Quite a show. I saw two Top-Fuel Hydros turned into splinters right in front of me. Also saw a guy loose his life when he flipped an Unlimited outboard. Not the safest sport...

It's funny to hear a bunch of guys who climb trees with chainsaws for a living call these hydro-racers nuts.
