Has anybody else gotten any calendars yet this year? I normally get 3-4 every year about this time, from the homeowner insurance agent, the car insurance agent, local suppliers, etc. This year I haven't gotten a single one.

None hear as of yet. I actually prefer that I don't since they are usually kind of useless and cheesy and just get recycled. A sign of the economy or a sign of a greener world?

Economy. I get alot from suppliers, ect. None to be had this year.

Funny you mention it Brian. No I havent gotten any yet either. And only an hour ago I was thinking of booking a fishing trip in January and wanted to go during a full moon, and was dissappointed in my lack of an 09 Calendar.

Geez nothing for me yet and I bought a brand new Bandit this year. Might have to stop by the dealer.:/:

I used to buy those calendar schedule books which cost about $15 from the office supply store. Now I print them for free off the internet.

ME also - got one from my insurance agent - as they visit to take photos of my place.

the yearly ritual

Sweet Brian thanks. I figured I could find something online, was just seeing if I could get someone to do the leg work for me.

Got my plan ahead organizer calender for my schedule book again this year, back in summer as I was asked to start scheduling the next years visit. Think it cost all of 5 bucks or something like it. No moon phases... But it has holidays and plenty of writing space :)

Cool. Full moon Saturday January 10th.
Lake of the Woods, here I come.

We have some major gas lines running right through our property. They used to give us little freebies (rain gauges, chip clips, pens.) Now we just get calendars with their emergency number in very large font.

BTW, January 11th, 2009 is a full moon.

One from the Ins. Agent and a very nice Work Planner with my name on from some print shop that wanted me to buy them to give away-No, thank you, but I will happily use the freebie.

The wife works for an insurance broker in the mall, she brings one home but otherwise I dont get any. Personally I find printed calendars about as irelevant as the yellow pages these days, with the internet and my cell phone I can find out just about anything within a minute or two. :)

Smooth move there Toppie, getting someone else to do a google search for your moon schedule, you lazy bum! :P

I got my '09 Stihl calender about a month ago...

Is the american Stihl calender anything like the European one?
A lot of semi naked women and stihl equipment mixed together.

I have a hard time seing what those have in common. no PPE either.
Why not have pictures of something relevant; big trees, arborists at work etc.
I like my Stihl saws, but have a hard time condoning those sexist calenders.

I havent seen those kind of calendars in a few years here, not very PC I guess. Most tool manufacturers used them.
