    Prolly none “laying around” there either! Got to get it off the neighbor’s sheds when they’re not looking. A sheet here, a sheet there…and flip it over so they don’t recognize it as their missing panels!

    My dad cut some up in my pile and hauled it to the porch in case we needed a fire this weekend. Turns out we probably won’t, but we’ll likely need it before I’m able to run a saw again.

    I don’t have the time to lay it by for four years to begin with. And as stated above, it would be a mess to deal with with all the bugs and such it would have in it.

    I’ve been thinking about getting started cutting some for this winter. That’s as fas as I’ve gotten so far...have got quite a bit drying in piles. A little worse on chains, but better than all green wood.

    If stacked anywhere but a low spot without a lot of water running under it, the bottom layer is merely sacrificial and won't rot in one season.
