He said that it takes more weight off his hitch cord for long fast descents. Also makes him rescue ready if for some reason he would have to support the weight of another climber. It would keep the hitch from binding up. I just found it interesting

I I see Tony is using both at once on the same line. He’s somewhat local to me. This pic was taken at the comp in Florida this week end.

They are not able to sell them anymore. I suggest contacting Paul for your ropetek needs

Loop runners come in handy in so many ways. When you can't quite get the energy to grip and pull yourself up, a runner is a quick handhold or foot hold to get to where I need a redirect.

One of my co workers was having problems today with his distel locking up a bit on the RW. I asked why he wasn't on his usual VT and he told me " it's been so long , I couldn't remember it". I'm glad you posted this though. He dropped his slick pin today. He also climbs on 1/2"(13mm). Also...

I did that the first time I used it. I had the instructions right in front of me too. I'm going to take something from Stihlmadd and put a small XXR or ABR ring above my knot to eliminate the fingertip burn.

"Going through a crotch today, I was a bit of loading the body of the HH, sideways. I was happy that its so beefy. That type of thing makes me leary of jointed devices." This is why I can't bring myself to use fully mechanical devices. A knot has flex to it. Steel and aluminum do not.

I take mine off all the time. Maybe not every climb but almost every day. Quick inspection and to knock the dust outta it.

Sounds like I chose the right one to try out first. I might get to try the rope wrench next weekend. Depends on how pressed for time we get. I'll probably try the different knots just so I know how they act.

No plans on switching tools. Actually I think I'm gonna order the HH2 for my birthday. I just gotta slow down so I can experiment some.

Randy does that knot give you more " sit back" than the official knot? I just looked and I've been tying it wrong. It worked though. Maybe it will tend easier if I tie it right:slam2::slam2:

Do some of you tie a different knot than what is instructed for the HH ? I thought it appeared different to me in Grendel's video. Maybe I am mistaken in how it should be tied.

Tim when I said ogre I was referencing Sean's pet name for his boxer mini skid loader. Sorry no arb term I'm hoping to get some more time on the HH next week. Boss told me I got a few large trims to do. I also have a crane removal coming up soon( oh how I hope) to use it for it's specialty

While I was doing it I couldn't help but think that with an ogre I could've solo'd that job easy.

I cheated a bit today and put a 3:1 just below my tie in point. It was a maple that had four main limbs that curved up as leaders. 3 groundies were busy with the bucket op so I knew I had no help. Up and down four times and it was just so easy. I didn't want to put wood on top of brush so I came...

Just giving an update. The HH rocks!! I used it all day today both srt and drt. Static redirects, dynamic redirects, 3:1 haul back. I love it. Even used a bit of a srt/drt combo that I picked up from Cursedvioce's videos.

I went HH and got my first real climb on it today. All I can say is I'm gonna enjoy SRT. The HH worked great. I set up the 3:1 for returning from a long limb walk and almost pulled myself right off the limb. It's way to easy to return. I was expecting it to be closer to DRT. I'm hooked. I want...
