I had trouble with this too. My faceplate has I think eight screw holes four of which are chamferred and I was using only those. I put four more screws in the other holes and it quit chattering.
Yeah it got bought Jay. I don't know the price however. I have a lathe to bring here to Vegas but am working on getting moved over here and set up. So I just turn when I am back in Patterson.

That's my only natural edge bowl attempt Jay. I saw how to do it on a PBS show. I gave it to my Nephew. Last I heard they were deciding what to put in it.
I still haven't got my lathe up and running. Been too preoccupied working. I just need a pulley for the motor. I did a tree job for it. I'll get it going in the next month or so.
