I'm no christian but yah I prefer not to see other guys junk. And normally I'd just look the other way and whatever. But when the guy sees us, gets up and prominently displays it and then checks us over with binos. Yah you're getting the bird and called a f-cking weirdo.
I'm looking forward to going when the lake is just a tad bit warmer. Then I think it'll be fun to learn just how stable the thing really is.
Yah I didn't get worked to bad. Only about a 1.5hr of paddling though, so not that long. And didn't go at it like an animal or anything.
Worst part was paddling down the lake and some nude guy lying on a beach stands up and gives me the full Monty. Ffs, keep that sh-t to yourself man. To top it off he got out his binos and was staring out at me and the wife. F-cking weirdo. He got flipped the bird and swore at for his efforts...
I went for a decent sup session yesterday. It was fun. About a hour into it i found I was starting to find a groove, less wobbly and more relaxed. Didn't fall in atleast!
I've seen them a couple of times. When I took the fairy to and from the queen Charlottes one of the ways we had a pod of them swim with the ferry for awhile. Pretty cool.
Had a gorgeous paddle yesterday. The lake was just glass. A day I'll remember for a long time, my daughter had a blast with me and we even took our little dog with us who just chilled and took in the scenery too.
I got a awesome day of kayaking ahead of me tomorrow. Mabel lake. It'll be fantastic. Not much for fishing opportunity though. Still a good time to be had.
Here it's been so cold I haven't been out paddling so I'm envious to hear of your holiday Cory. I would go, but just been giving 'er firewooding and getting everything ready for winter. Which feels like it's coming early this year.
We've got a local shop that sells/rents but I'm quite certain they don't make any boards in house. I guess in the spring we'll just start renting a few different boards. More than likely my wife will be renting and finding a board that works for her and hopefully I'll be able to use it a bit...
Cory when I was shopping around for a SUP I found it slightly overwhelming all the different styles and construction methods of boards out there. I wanted to get something good for my wife but that I could still use a bit too and would be a good all round board that could handle some moving...
Ha Cory. You've been bit! Fantastic feeling to be stoked about something. We put off getting a paddleboard until springtime but I'm loving the kayaking still. I really want to get a paddleboard too now though to mix it up. I find kayak paddling to be more than just a shoulder/back workout. I've...
