It's not all that crazy. Dynamic rope is designed to handle multiple leader falls, which can be a fall factor of up to 2 ( defined as a 10 meter fall from 5 meters above an anchor point, I think) Stretch of a full dyno rope is up to 70% at break.....never applying more than a few times...
