It could be difficult to use from the bike, but not impossible. There are ways to use a long staff or sword as if they are shorter....choke the grip, change the grip, twirl to recover to a different strike or to provide a screen or distraction....sometimes a maneuver will be to gain...

Pictures of that bike would be cool...nice that a young couple like that took you on bike rides at that early age. Had to be some good adventures for a 12 year old.

Yes, I had it JIC...porch dogs can get prickly when we ride by sometimes. I'd rather staff them than shoot them. Makes for better relations with the neighbors.

Bit of a different approach here....we ride a good bit at our farm in S. GA...often dirt roads to the big city of Hahira and then explore it (though we did recently explore Adel, nearby)

Yep, a few spins around the circle then helmets went on and cruised the 'hood. Normally helmets go on first.

Andy...you got my number. LOVE that bike...the high bars make it easier to sit up and coast and enjoy the ride...not leaning over like SpeedRacer all the time! And the rack and basket....oh yeahhhh. (See below...how my grandsons and I mobilate)
