Good deal, Andrew and Darin. I just got a call about grinding a stump in a basement. No clue how real that call was, but he said he just bought the house and apparently they built over it or something back in the day. Claimed it was a 30" stump, and wanted to know about explosives. I told...

Hopefully you're getting paid for all that repair. I figured planking would be stronger than plywood, but I guess it depends how it's done. Yeah, ours is 8/12. I guess once you get settled it's not bad, but I'm sure not a fan of working on non "flat" roofs. All gotta know our place, eh...

Haha. You do know I don't have a spider, eh? Just the Genie TZ50/30.

I've thought about offering to help however I could, but if fell and broke my foot again, I'd be majorly hosed all around. Are they low pitched roofs like the one at that oak I took down for the church, or are they stupid steep like mine?

Wrong word haha, meant literal. Posting from my phone using swipeit predictive text. It's pretty cool, just gotta watch what it picks until I get more fluent.

I'm officially swamped with work, hopefully the rainy season doesn't make that liberal.

That's where I'm at as well.

I don't know about being fired, but given corroborating evidence, you could have paid for the Wraptor R&D.

Picked up a couple jobs today, ~2/3 day's work for Scott (Treesmith) and I.

Absolutely. I want all the work I can get at current rates. If I could charge more and increase my profits/gross for the year that'd be nice, but my volume isn't there to really risk chancing it.

I get most of my bids as well. At some point I'd rather get part of something rather than all of nothing.

I prefer to do all the work currently needed/wanted at once. Get half down, then $250 or $500 per month till it's paid off starting a month after completion. If someone tried to pull that after the fact, I would become somewhat less than hospitable.

On bigger jobs I've been offering no interest payment plans, if they seem to get hung up on the price. So far I've only done one this year, but I put out another about 3 weeks ago. The work still isn't done, I'm thinking or perhaps hoping they are waiting for the next rental checks to come in.

They'd be paying interest in my book. Picked up another job today, only a day's work, but still, things are going fairly well. Got around a week's worth on the books from 4 jobs, all are within a 5-10 minute drive from each other. :)

Adds wear to the undercarriage and requires you to slow down every time both ways though. Ramps are an easy time saver, unless you're loading over the side. Then again, ,we're just takling out our 4th point of contact.

To drive into the box. The bottom of the box will be 6" off the ground or better.

I have 2 main part time helpers, excluding Treesmith when we link up. One does industrial maintenance work, the other is a nurse in the ICU.

I'd think you'd want ramps for the mini, unless you're loading over the side.

Here here! (Or Hear hear!) That's a big reason why I like to get up with folks in other areas, to see what works/what doesn't and ways to generally improve myself.
