You really need to bypass the cat to get much difference on this saw.

I wish they'd sell them this side of the pond that way. Is the echo bar .050 or .043?

My coworker bought one too and we were just joking about not using the silky anymore either. Mines become more of a reaching tool than a cutting tool now. Fwiw he had a chain made for his. No drilling of the Stihl bar, complete bolt on. Two extra drive links did the trick.

Definitely. I think it depends on your dealer. I'm not sure if mine carries the little 1/4p on a spool or just buys loops. The problem with drilling it is the way the echo oils through the adjuster holes. The Stihl bar already has a path from the adjuster holes to the groove. The way the bars...

The sprocket is an echo part. I can look the number up if anyone wants it. $35 shipped The bar is from an ms150t and maybe a power pruner too. Chain is Stihl 71pm3. The only issue is the Stihl bar adjuster holes are to far back. I drilled mine and it works fine and oils well but in hindsight I...

On the airbox, pull the filter and there's a piece of plastic that just slides out and opens a clear path to the carb. We also removed the cross behinds that but I don't know that it makes much difference. As for the muffler, take off the deflector and opened up the stock opening with a punch...

Just picked one of these up yesterday. Ran about a tank of gas through it and it just keeps getting better. I went ahead and added a small hole in the muffler and re- tuned the carbs, and filed some of the chatter out of that Oregon chain they come with (pxl I think). A friend of mine bought the...
