i am not a fan of lithium ion battery technology but there is a big difference between a nice warm summer day, deadwooding some oaks with friends and all of them run 150‘s vs echo 2500t‘s.
it‘s a luxury but a luxury that helps my elbow ;)
used it today, big beech pruning. for me it‘s definitly a pruning saw, a very nice one. battery life is‘nt great but it‘s so light, barely noticeable on the harness :)
i use my upper d‘s almost exclusively pruning and removals). sure they are not as ergonomic when free hanging but my balace-point is slightly off, i‘m tip-heavy :)
i dont like them, the caps are brittle and because of the orange colored plastic its hard to see when its full while refilling.
i like the clear plastic stihl ones :)
i prefer tenex tec over t-rex but t-rex is cheaper in europe. you are probably not using this device for negative rigging trunk wood?
i would go for a basket configuration, that also makes the small bend radius a little less problematic..
if you don't like it, you can still use the shakle on...
i'm interested if/how you like it. it looks kind of cumbersome to me. the rigging rope has a good bend-radius but the sling's bend radius is a little bit tight with only 1 shackle
i tried one from a buddy, worked really well to hit a fork in brushy trees. seemed like the small branches that would deflect my regular bag (harrison rocket) wouldnt deflect the meteor. i will get one as a specialty tool for those frustrating trees full of little branches :)
