    Kyle has it right. Dull chains are worth sharpening but rocked chains aren't, if it's your only chain then yes. IMO dull stumper teeth aren't worth sharpening too much time and health risk to make it worth it. Burn it up, throw it out, and run some fresh.

    I like to compare chains and stumper teeth as dimes holding up a dollar. Use them and use them up, kick to the curb, rinse and repeat.

    For example: you have a 12" piece of stock and it needs to be 11" the 1" piece is the drop. My bad we are talking metal drops.

    But you also might be getting some useful stock. I'm talking I save the slugs out of a hole saw cut or the 1"x1"x 1" triangular drop off of a corner.
