    I too was shown that knot decades ago and it is much sexier 8) to tie it mostly with one hand via 'whipping' the bight multiple times around the rope rather than laboriously wrapping the bight using both hands. Quicker that way too:dude:

    Maybe its just me but I hate the hockling that results from use as a lowering line. And you mention low stretch- IME they stretch more than braided?

    Wow, indeed. I liked the brief discussion of inside tail bowline vs outside tail. Most tree guys afaik tie outside tail and I understood that was slightly inferior to inside tail, but this guy refutes that re the app cited.

    I always wondered about the alledged differences in those 2 bowlines. Good presentation though I'm still not convinced. Maybe Nick can use his breaking machine and report back which bowline/sheet bend holds best?!?
