Blacksmith, the manufactured moisture meters use resistance just like on the multimeter. The trick would be translating ohms into h2o levels. Gotta be a formula out there on the interweb though- Treeaddict

Sean, I have a very similar version of this unit. It’s been reliable. Couldn’t post a link but it gives model number. Most of the professionals tend to use the $450+ Wagner Orion meters.- Treeaddict
