Ponderosa for sure. Extremely poor hinge characteristics when dead/dry. Not to mention scads of inexperienced climbers being used on fire cleanups. But hey, as long as you have a Protos and an insta acct, you’re in biz :|:
Pole gaffs for me too! Sometimes it's a bummer on real thick bark pondos, but just have to be conscious of foot placement on the last 30 or so feet. Tried tree gaffs for a while, was like balancing on pencils.
