Man that’s a lot of words. TL/DR how do you climb a tree? Your tie in needs to be higher than where you’re going. Get good with throwline and bag, and get yourself a set of poles with a polesaw head minus the blade, or similar hook. It’s incredibly handy for setting ropes exactly where you want...- Jonny
