1/2" chain was used on the big old saws from the 50's and 60's on into the 70's... When saws got lighter and faster... the big 1/2" chain kinda fell by the wayside. So it is not made anymore... The 1/2" chisel type is really getting scarce because it is preferred by saw racers... the "chipper"...
