Yup... get the larger dog kit Jeff... you'll be glad you did.
Here is a link to the kit where I installed it on my saw Chain Catcher/Dog Kit

Leon... mine has a 25" bar on it and it pulls it just fine. I run almost exclusively in softwoods though with a full skip chain. But I'm sure it would pull that same bar in almost any wood.

Nah... It only sees the 32"er once in awhile. She pulls it just fine. I was thinkin' of puttin' a dual port muffler cover on it... but it just doesn't seem to need it. The stock opening is quite large as it is.
The 361 I have is muffler modded and runs like a raped ape!:O

Here's the 044 with the new USA Handlebars 3/4 wrap installed, and a set of Madsen's fallin' dawgs. Also picked up a new 32" bar and 2 chains when I went to Wood's Logging Supply to pick up 2 rolls of Stihl chain for Brian (Skwerl).
Now I don't have to "borrow" my buddy's 32"er...
Come to think of it Dave (wiley_p) was trained by D. Doug too.
What is the criteria for getting into a class like that to get the certification? Is it just a USFS thing?

The Fed-Ex guy showed up today and delivered a present from Bailey's.
Since I have been workin' more timber (on the ground) and doin' more fallin' and buckin' jobs... A few extra wedges and files were in order.
Plus I finally bought the Professional Timber Falling book by D. Douglas Dent...
No magic brown van today... but I forgot to show that I am now a certified card carryin' Silky Zubat owner!
My daughter Kaitlin thought that her cat Sarah needed to be in the picture with the Silky.
Plus a new 200 foot hank of Arbormaster Blue-streak! Thanks for the help Carl!:)

Man you guys can give a guy hand-saw envy!!!:what:
It is a 13" Corona hand-saw I bought before I even thunk about climbing a tree. Just to have on hand. It also comes in handy in elk camp.
I'll order a Silky when I damn well please!
It'll prolly be soon....;)
