    Tsumura bars

The bars should last indefinitely if maintained properly . They will eventually need to be retired but that’s after many hundred of face cord cut ! I prefer the cannon superbars myself ... Pricey but superior to all other offerings - ya get what ya pay for

Bar oil is your friend ... I cannot believe the amount of folk I’ve cut with over the years who try and “save” money by using any concoction other than the recommended bar oil ! When I maintain my saws after a cutting session I always clean the bar grooves and oil hole and run the Oiler on max...

Greasing the tip isn’t necessary imho ... In fact it attracts dirt, chips and debris so it may even be detrimental! I simply maintain bar and just thoroughly clean the bar rails after each cutting session and run max on Oiler. I have bars with over 100face cord on them and STIHL look / perform...

I’ve always used STIHL ES bars and never had any trouble ... keep the rails dressed properly and cleaned-out between cutting sessions and use a sharp chain / good rim sprocket and flip bar over to distribute wear in an even fashion - The bar should last indefinitely . Never had an ES Bar with...

One time I was visiting Cincinnati Ohio and stopped in a dept store to p/u a pair of pants ... Every pair was button - fly ! I looked and looked to no avail ! Finally the help noticed my angst and asked me if I needed some assistance... I asked for a pair of pants with a zipper ... the help...

Uhh ... yah ... I don’t build “race saws” nor do I run them - not really practical for my application 😉 ... As far as your comment of “dont worry you will never understand what goes all into these saws”..... You’d be surprised at what I understand about “what all goes into these saws “ Lotta...

Let’s see it cut ! Or is it just :big-laugh:another “Ohio shelf-queen” ?

If you have the skills you may “build one” yourself ... cut in half and weld insert between , lotta work but can be done !

The reason they use belly bars is because chain likes to go around in a circle ... plus the are running 10,11,up to 16 pin Rims ... if you go past 9 or 10pin in stock saw the angle changes because the diameter is MUCH larger and the chain wood derail much more often than 7 or 8 pin ... :painting:

Magnus not that I’m aware of ... woodland pro has a canon bar ; this is not quality like a “cannon” bar made in Canada that are precision ground and the rails hardened... maybe the one “n” makes all the difference in the world !

I agree Burnham ... huh ? Cannon bars are superior quality (at least what they are producing today) ... in fact all racers use the “fat belly” cannons for a reason ... Tsamura bars suffered from a caca tail grind - not straight at all ! Also have heard reports of cracking by the inserts ...

Use “Ohio boys” ain’t got much of a sense of humor do ya ?:P ... you’re not affiliated with Brad S aka “snailerizer” in any way shape or form are ya ?

Tsmura bars are good quality .... Cannon bars are even better ... For what the guy from the “land of fruits and nuts “ charges for saw builds you’d think his bars “wood” be made of military-grade unobtainium !

Seems all use guys from Ohio have “digital scales “. Hmmm:/:

That’s why I run STIHL chain (ps 63 and RS ) Magnus , maybe not the “Best” off the roll , but after a few sharpenings they cut well ...and for bar STIHL or Cannon ... flip bar after maintenance / sharpen chain ... I have cut and split 1000 cord easy ... I recall something about the bars not...

    Tsumura bars

I’m not a fan of bars longer than 32” , me no likey all that reciprocating mass that far away ; I prefer a 25” even on 90cc saws ... assuming that you get 22”+ of actual cut that’s STIHL a 44” tree which I seldom encounter
  19. Frankie

    Tsumura bars

Yes the ARE heavy for sure ! But they are also the BEST imho ... using a ported 395xp with a 25” STIHL lightweight ES vs a 25” Canon Buckin logs on the ground I don’t think you are really gonna notice the difference.(plus believe it or not the cannon superbar is cheaper than the lightweight...

    Tsumura bars

The best bars (albeit pricey) are made by Cannon ... the rails are heat treated to a higher Rockwell than ANY available chain and they are precision ground to within thousandths of an inch ! You pay more up front but the product is superior all the way around .... AP bar shop sometimes has them...
