I have a friend who does torch art work as side work in his welding business.
He draws pictures using only the flame on a sheet of metal, mostly just changing the color of the metal....not so much cutting.

No, but you dont have to price yourself out of everything when you do custom work.
There are a couple dirt contractors around here that always have to relearn how to function in an economy when the oil or gas boom dries up.

Doing custom work is tricky.
There are not near as many champagne clients out there as one might think.

What I like to do in one off situations is spend more money gathering the tools and skills to do the job once than it would have cost to hire it done.

I have thought about that many times Mick. Always as a last resort. Every repair shop around here has a standing offer for me to come to work as well.
I have thought about some custom farming type work as well. Especially now that we have full time help.
Just never seems to be enough...
