50 f and raining. Lost what was left of the snow from the last week.

About 800k without power in these parts yesterday, down to ~200k now. We've been good since it came back on here the first time.

Lost power for a couple hours this morning. Got the propane heaters set up in both houses & needed a break...wasn't that long of an outage so never got out the new generators... Freezing rain still falling so we'll see...

well, poop. And it's getting to be that time of year where the lake won't be warming it up much on it's way here... Light a fire over there or something will ya?

I'm loving it! Lots of good sized flakes just mellowly drifting down to settle with the rest, little or no wind, it's quite soothing; sort of like watching a fish tank. Helps shift my perspective to appreciating the simpler things and imbues me with a more settled state of mind, like sitting in...

Been getting an inch or so per hour of the white stuff for a bit now. Looks like it's going to keep coming for a while. Snow thrower is all ready to go...hope I am.

Judging from the sane speeds traveled on the highway out back I'll say the weather is slippery this evening.

Last several days: 6 a.m. = white yard Noon = Green yard Accompanied by the ever constant & beautiful Navy grey skies of MI rinse & repeat...

First few snowflakes we've seen since well before Xmas. Still no frost this year. Don't remember ever being this far into winter without the ground freezing.

Lake seems to be buffering the temps well so far. 11 f and just a couple inches of snow. Only slightly less than normal traffic on highway behind house. Looks to be about 10 mph reduction from normal speed. Basically still waiting for the big storm...

Always interesting to see the difference the big lake makes.

Lots of warnings...Bomb cyclone!, Blizzard!, texts from power & cable companies that their prepping for the storm! Might get up to 16" of snow in two days! :|: Last little go around we got 18" in two days....no warnings except "it's gonna snow"... go figure. :drink:

I saw 2 on amazon. One didn't have cord storage and they were sold out. One had storage and said you could increase load/output on either generator panel, which sounded like the better choice if you wanted to stick to using a normal plug. It was also a little less costly Both these kits only...

I just fueled up & test ran my first genny ( like yours) yesterday and ordered a second for the other house. Made it here within 24 hrs of order directly from Wen. Each was $399.99 total cost.

Slept with the windows open last night. May repeat tonight. :) A bit odd for this time of year...
