    Raccoons have become a pest. Years ago hunters uses dogs to hunt them and kept them under control. Now that fur prices have been so low hardly anyone hunts them. Thanks PETA. They get and spread rabies now. The state was dropping vaccine bait from planes but I didn't see them go over this...

    I would rather see turkeys and pheasants than coyotes. A few ' yotes are OK, but they can become a nuisance pretty fast.

    My son peeled the bark off some weed Ash trees all the way around and about a foot of length thinking it would kill them. Nope. Hacked down into the wood deep enough where it looked like they should die.

    Osage is what some of the Indians used. Finding a good straight piece is tough. I have a hedgerow out back. Have to take the 4 wheeler for a ride. Anybody know the right time to cut it? In the winter I would think.

    Yeah, out of a single stave. Kinda hard to find a good straight piece of Osage. It grows pretty crooked. I might try locust as there is plenty of that around.
