    Never had a problem with Ash, unless it was cut alive and I tried to do so before the needed full 9-12 months to cure. And I split by hand. Add-on: My recent move put me in a lot with lots of dead and decaying oak and honey locusts. That should make for some fun this fall/winter.

    I'm assuming those burning sycamore are doing it with the American species (Platanus occidentalis) and not it's allergy inducing, European cousin (which is another tree I can't stand), Acer pseudoplatanus?

    Cory, I did the pile on a tarp a long time ago, and all it ended up doing was making a swampy mess on the bottom, ruining some really good pieces. Pallet racks are the best, but in a pinch, just get some bricks/cinder blocks and 10ft pressure treated 2x4s to make some quicky racks
